Russia’smass missile strikes against numerous settlements in Ukraine on themorning of Oct. 10 caused disruptions in mobile services across the country, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine reported on Facebook.
“The unstable operation of the networks is connected with the damage to the infrastructure of both (mobile) operators and energy sector enterprises,” reads the report.
Mobile operators and emergency services are making every effort to restore power supplies and stabilize celluar communications, it said.
The disruptions in mobile Internet were recorded in the Khmelnytskyi, Lviv and Poltava oblasts, as well as the cities of Kharkiv and Zhytomyr.
At the same time, state fixed-line telephone operator Ukrtelecom said its critical infrastructure elements are operating as usual.
The company emphasized its infrastructure management centers are dispersed geographically, while key elements are reserved.
“The damage to some communication nodes didn’t have a significant impact on the continuity of providing services,” Ukrtelecom added.
