Missile fragments fall in Moldova — local police

Missile fragments fell again on Moldovan territory as a result of a Russian mass missile strike on Jan. 14, the Moldovan Interior Ministry said on Facebook.

The local police found missile fragments near the village of Larga on the border with Ukraine, not far away from the Ukrainian regional center of Chernivtsi.

The security situation was taken under control and a rescue team was informed about the incident.

Moldova's Interior  Ministry said a number of airspace monitoring patrols in the vicinity of the border with Ukraine was raised in accordance with the country's emergency plan activated due to the Russian attacks against Ukraine.

It is already the third case that fragments from missiles launched against Ukraine have fallen in Moldova.
