Moldovan President Maia Sandu arrived on a working visit to the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv on June 27, her press service reported on Facebook.
The Moldovan president will also visit the towns of Borodyanka, Bucha and Irpin, which were severely damaged by the Russian invaders during their failed attempt to capture Kyiv in late February and March. She will also meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
A few days ago, Sandu said she did not rule out that she would visit Ukraine amid Russia's full-scale invasion of the country.
Zelensky's spokesman Sergii Nykyforov in turn said that the timing of Sandu's visit to Ukraine would not be announced in advance for security reasons.
