In the coming weeks, Ukraine will receive additional MARS II multiple rocket launchers and Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers, the German Ministry of Defence press office wrote on Twitter on Oct. 12.
A picture of a meeting hosted by Brussels in the Ramstein format on Wednesday was posted. The press office stressed that the Ramstein-format meeting is being held "at a special time: Russia’s missile attacks and partial mobilisation, sham referenda (on the temporary occupied areas), Ukraine’s counter-offensive.”
It was also reported on Wednesday that amid Russian mass missile strikes, the Netherlands is to deliver 15 million euros worth of anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine. NRC news reported it, referring to a letter that Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren and Foreign Affairs Minister Wopke Hoekstra of that country sent to parliament.
Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov confirmed Ukraine had received the first German IRIS-T anti-air defense battery on Oct. 12. He also said that “item #1 on the agenda (of the Oct. 12 meeting in the Ramstein format) will be strengthening Ukraine's air defence.”
