The missile, fired during a mass missile attack on Dec. 29, tore through the woman’s house, burying itself in one room – but did not explode, leading to the survival of the two civilians, Onyshchuk explained.
On the morning of Dec. 29, the Russian forces massively attacked Ukraine with missiles — the air alert lasted for several hours all across the country. Damage to numerous energy infrastructure facilities was recorded in a number of Ukrainian settlements.
In total, the Ukrainian military was able to shoot down 54 out of 69 Russian missiles launched against the country that day.
