The building of the Mykolaiv Oblast State Administration, destroyed in March as a result of a missile attack by Russian troops, is likely to be demolished, regional governor Vitaliy Kim said in a comment to U.S.-funded Radio Liberty on Dec. 10.
"Unfortunately, the examination [concluded] that it (the building – ed.) is not subject to restoration,” the official stated.
“The regional council will decide on its write-off and the write-off of the property that was lost there. I think this will lead to demolition and new construction.”
On March 29, the Russian military struck Mykolaiv, as a result of which the building of the regional state administration partially collapsed. The central section of the building, from the ground to the eighth floor, was destroyed.
28 people were killed in the strike.
