Regional authorities plan to close Mykolaiv for several days in order to "work out" the addresses of possible collaborators, regional governor Vitaliy Kim announced in a video address posted on Telegram on July 20.
"There are many questions about the closure of the city,” he said.
“This is planned for the near future — in a week or two, just when the harvest is coming in and when we have processed as much data as possible. There are plans to close the city for a day or two. We will inspect the addresses that we are currently analyzing.”.
At the same time, Kim emphasized that local residents will be notified of the introduction of these measures in advance, so that they can purchase groceries and adjust their plans.
