NATO members should increase transfer of advanced military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in a Twitter post on Jan. 11, following a phone conversation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
“Good call with foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba on the vital support that NATO Allies are providing Ukraine in its brave fight against Russia’s invasion,” Stoltenberg wrote.
He emphasized that time is of the essence, and urged allies to transfer advanced weapons to Ukraine as soon as possible.
“Timing is critical; we need to provide more advanced equipment faster,” the secretary concluded.
Earlier, Stoltenberg said that the situation with ongoing Russian assaults on Soledar and Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast shows the vital importance of increased military support for Ukraine.
