Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russian invaders have damaged almost a thousand educational institutions in Ukraine, 88 of which have been completely ruined, said the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Serhii Babak, via Telegram messenger on April 14.

"Russian fascist troops damaged 957 educational institutions, 88 of which were completely destroyed," he wrote.

Ukraine has acknowledged Russia’s actions in Ukraine as a deliberate genocide of the Ukrainian people, and called on the international community to use all available means to restrain Russia from continuing. Russian troops in Ukraine have committed atrocities in nearly every temporarily occupied territory, and have been abducting and deporting Ukrainian citizens to Russia, including children.
