Ukrainian law enforcement document about 47,000 instances of Russian war crimes

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, Ukrainian law enforcers have document about 47,000 in-stances of war crimes committed by the Russian invasion forces, the National Police reported on Dec. 10.

Ihor Klymenko, head of the National Police, said that among the recorded crimes were torture, rape, and murder of civilians.

All law enforcement agencies of Ukraine are collecting evidence of war crimes in order to bring the Russian military to justice, he added.

The National Police reported on Dec. 7 that more than 1,600 people, including 74 children, had died in Kharkiv Oblast since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Numerous evidence of Russian war crimes have been uncovered thus far, including the Bucha genocide, destruction of Mariupol, and a multitude of ‘torture chambers’ found in liberated territories.
