Berlin has handed over a new military aid package to Ukraine, which includes Gepard flak artillery panzers and ammunition, the German government said in a message on its website on Feb. 8.
The report outlined the transfer as follows:
· two Gepard anti-aircraft systems and 6,000 rounds of ammunition;
· six 15-ton load-handling trucks;
· six mobile antennae and mast systems;
· five border protection vehicles;
· 29 power generators;
· 10 roll-off containers.
Everything except the generators and containers was delivered to Ukraine directly from German industrial asset warehouses.
The day before, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that by the end of February 2023, the Ukrainian military would receive guided missiles for air defense systems and five Gepards.
On Feb. 7, Berlin issued a license to German military companies to supply Ukraine with 178 Leopard-1A5 tanks. Pistorius stated that Ukraine would receive more than 100 Leopard-1A5s from several European countries.
