The Ukrainian military has warned about the threat of another Russian missile attack on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, Natalia Humeniuk, spokeswoman for the Ukrainian military’s South Operational Command, told Ukrainian national television on Nov. 28.

According to Humeniuk, this may indicate the return of a Russian naval missile carrier to combat duty in the Black Sea, after not being in the area for several days.

“This is a surface-to-air missile carrier with eight Kalibr missiles on board,” she said.

“This indicates that preparations were underway.”

The official noted that equipped missile carriers that could be used within a few hours had also been deployed at the Russian military bases.

Previous Russian attacks on Ukraine’s infrastructure have seriously damaged the country’s energy system, which has led to blackouts throughout the country.
