The Russian military struck the residential quarter of the town of Nikopol with Grad multiple-launch rocket systems on the night of Sept. 6, Dnipropetrovsk regional governor Valentyn Reznichenko reported on Telegram.
"The Russian occupying forces blasted the district with Grads three times,” he said.
“Residential blocks were hit in Nikopol. Two people were injured: a man and a woman. They have been hospitalized. Doctors assess their condition as moderate.”
According to the official, 20 high-rise buildings and 11 private buildings were damaged as a result of the attack, and one house was completely destroyed.
The Russian shells also hit a kindergarten, two lyceums, a center for technical creativity, and a sports club. Several gas pipelines and cars were also damaged.
As a result of the attacks, power lines were also damaged, which left over 2,000 households in Nikopol without electricity.
The Russian army has been shelling the communities of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with rockets almost on a daily basis.
