In the past week, not a single military object was among the targets that Russia chose for its cruise missile strikes, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff Oleksiy Hromov announced during a briefing on Oct. 27.
According to him, Russia focused on destroying the energy infrastructure of Ukraine.
Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar, in turn, said that the Kremlin wants to intimidate the population and the country's leadership with attacks on infrastructure facilities.
However, Moscow has miscalculated, as “Ukrainians cannot be broken,” she said.
According to Malyar, the Russian military has focused on destroying transport infrastructure and energy facilities in order to deprive Ukrainians of heating and electricity.
"However, it is impossible to break us and it is also impossible to intimidate Ukrainians – this is actually the main mistake of the enemy, because he could not foresee it," Malyar said.
