No power outages in Ukraine for two weeks now — Ukrenergo

Ukrainian power plants of all types are operating and there is currently no capacity deficit, so consumption limits have not been imposed at the regional level, Ukraine’s power grid operator Ukrenergo said in a Facebook post on Feb. 25.
It said that electricity is imported in small volumes.
However, it is noted that in the event of a change in the situation in the power system and a sharp increase in consumption, blackouts are possible. Outages are also possible due to network damage due to worsening weather conditions.
Currently, power cuts are applied in the front-line cities of Nikopol and Marganets in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. As a result of Russian shelling, there was damage to the power grid.
Also, in Odesa, there are still network restrictions caused by significant damage to the energy infrastructure, which is why hourly outage schedules are used there.
“Repair crews of Ukrenergo are working hard to eliminate network restrictions caused by significant damage to the main equipment of substations, which were repeatedly attacked by Russian missiles and drones,” Ukrenergo said.
