Occupying authorities in Mariupol leave Ukrainians freezing to death

The temperature in homes of Ukrainians in the Russian-occupied city of Mariupol has dropped to -2 Celsius, Mariupol mayoral advisor Petro Andriushchenko said on Telegram on Dec. 4.
He shared a video of a man who shows his windows covered with film instead of the glass, which was shattered. The film was torn by the wind in the middle of the night when it was five degrees below zero outside, the man says.
The occupying authorities ignore these problems, Andriushchenko noted.
"Beside electric heaters, people urgently demand sleeping bags and mats to sleep at home,” he reported.
“An evacuation operation might have saved people, but only if the goal is to save them, not to freeze to death. It is genocide as it is.”
Locals cover broken windows with film instead of glass, which is then "torn to pieces by the wind at the Sea of Azov.”
At least 25,000 Ukrainians are estimated to have been killed during the Russian siege of Mariupol.
