One person is dead and at least 23 are injured, including a child, after Russian forces attacked the city of Mykolaiv with Kalibr missiles in the early hours of April 27, South Operational Command spokesperson, Vladyslav Nazarov, reported on Telegram.
Russia fired four missiles from the Black Sea "using terrain features and trajectory changes to complicate detection," he said.
"Given the fact that these are high-precision weapons that work according to targeting coordinates, it is an obvious fact of terror against civilians," Nazarov stressed.
In addition to the human toll, one civilian house was destroyed, another damaged, and a residential high-rise and historic building suffered heavy damage. The resulting fires were promptly extinguished, and the sites are being dismantled.
Regional governor Vitalij Kim initially reported on the attack, saying that one person was killed and 15 wounded.
