One injured as seven districts in Sumy Oblast struck 97 times by Russian shelling in past day

Invading Russian forces struck seven districts in Sumy Oblast a total of 97 times over the past day, resulting in one person being injured, the regional military administration reported on the Telegram messenger on Feb. 9.
The districts of Bilopillia, Yunakivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Znob-Novhorodske, Hlukhiv, and Shalyhyne came under enemy shelling. In addition to mortars, the Russian also dropped five explosive devices from a drone.
A local resident of one of the villages of the Yunakivka district was injured as a result of Russian mortar shelling, and one private house was damaged. In total, the Russians hit the district 10 times over the past day.
In the oblast’s Bilopillia District, three private houses were damaged by Russian mortar shelling. A household outbuilding also caught fire as a result of the attack.
According to the military administration, the invaders hit the Esman District with mortars, damaging several houses and buildings.
In addition, a household building was hit by mortars in one of the villages of the Znob-Novhorodske district.
