Over 13,000 Ukrainians diagnosed with COVID-19, almost the same number recovered

Over the past day, 13,562 Ukrainians have been diagnosed with COVID-19, a total of 127 deaths were recorded, and 13,904 patients recovered from the disease, according to official data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health as of the morning of Feb. 21.

The daily rate of COVID-19 infections traditionally decreases over the weekend. A day earlier, on Feb. 20, 17,448 Ukrainians were reported to have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Over the entire duration of the pandemic, a total of 4,734,333 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ukraine, of whom 3,952,363 have recovered, and 104,645 have died.

No data is available for the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the non-government-controlled parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, and Sevastopol.

An adaptive quarantine is in effect in the country until the end of March 2022, dividing Ukraine into colored zones that represent the impact of the coronavirus on the region.

Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Zakarpattia, Khmelnytskyi and Luhansk Oblasts are in the red zone, while all other regions are currently in the yellow or orange zones.

Over 31 million coronavirus vaccination doses have been administered, and nearly 15 million people have received two doses, with more than 600,000 people having had a booster dose.
