Over 23,000 Ukrainians diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ukraine

Over the past day, 23,378 Ukrainians have been diagnosed with COVID-19, a total of 115 deaths were recorded, and 5,024 patients recovered from the disease, according to official data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health as of the morning of Feb. 7.

The daily rate of COVID-19 infections traditionally decreases over the weekend, as a result, the numbers for Feb. 6 are noticeably lower than the records being set in the previous week. A day earlier, on Feb. 5, 27,851 Ukrainians were reported to have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Over the course of the pandemic, a total of 4,307,437 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ukraine, of whom 3,681,092 have recovered, and 101,392 have died.

No data is available for the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the non-government-controlled parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, and Sevastopol.

An adaptive quarantine is in effect in the country until the end of March 2022, dividing Ukraine into colored zones that represent the impact of the coronavirus on the region.

Ivano-Frankivsk and Rivne Oblasts are in the red zone, while all other regions are currently in the yellow or orange zones.

Over 30 million coronavirus vaccination doses have been administered, and nearly 14 million people have received two doses, with more than 400,000 people having had a booster dose.
