Over 24,000 Ukrainians diagnosed with COVID-19, over 33,000 recovered

Over the past day, 24,440 Ukrainians have been diagnosed with COVID-19, a total of 287 deaths were recorded, and 33,238 patients recovered from the disease, according to official data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health as of the morning of Feb. 22.

The daily infection rate usually increases after declining over the weekend. A day earlier, on Feb. 21, 13,562 Ukrainians were reported to have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

The daily number of recovered patients has exceeded the number of people diagnosed with COVID-19 for several days in a row.

Over the entire duration of the pandemic, a total of 4,758,773 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ukraine, of whom 3,985,601 have recovered, and 104,932 have died.

Volyn Oblast – 835;

Lviv Oblast – 821;

Kherson Oblast – 765;

Rivne Oblast – 659;

Kharkiv Oblast – 588;

Chernihiv Oblast – 574.

Sumy Oblast – 562;

Zhytomyr Oblast – 540;

Khmelnytskyi Oblast – 533;

Luhansk Oblast – 518;

No data is available for the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the non-government-controlled parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, and Sevastopol.

An adaptive quarantine is in effect in the country until the end of March 2022, dividing Ukraine into colored zones that represent the impact of the coronavirus on the region.

Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Zakarpattia, Khmelnytskyi and Luhansk Oblasts are in the red zone, while all other regions are currently in the yellow or orange zones.

Over 31 million coronavirus vaccination doses have been administered, and nearly 15 million people have received two doses, with more than 600,000 people having had a booster dose.
