The Russians have destroyed more than 5,000 buildings in the city of Kharkiv since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov, said on national television on Feb. 26.
He reported that only 136 houses had been repaired over the past year. 66 of the houses repaired had suffered from significant damage.
Meanwhile, more than 150,000 Kharkiv residents are currently homeless, he added.
“The Russian aggressors caused us a lot of destruction,” Terekhov said.
“More than 5,000 houses were destroyed, 500 of them cannot be restored at all.”
