Over 5,000 new positive cases, over 6,000 patients recovered, 190 dead from pandemic on Jan. 1

There were a total of 5,026 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine, 190 people died, and 6,073 patients recovered from the disease according to figures for Jan. 1, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported.

Since the start of the pandemic 3,672,675 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Ukraine, 3,474,931 people have recovered, and 96,089 patients have died.

In the latest COVID-19 case ranking, Kyiv city comes first with 976 new cases, followed by Lviv oblast with 443 cases. Kyiv Oblast comes third with 315 cases.

No COVID-19 data is currently available for the non-government-controlled parts of Ukraine.

All Ukrainian Oblasts are currently in the “yellow” zone, according to the “adaptive quarantine” regulations in place until March 2022.

Over 28 million Ukrainians have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose and more than 13 million people have been double jabbed.
