US to provide $150 million worth of military aid to Ukraine, including artillery rounds

Department of Defense has announced a new security package worth up to $150 million for Ukraine, including artillery rounds and counter-artillery radars, a Pentagon statement reads.

The aid shall “meet critical Ukrainian needs as Russian forces continue their offensive in eastern Ukraine” the Pentagon said.

The assistance package includes:

25,000 155-mm artillery rounds;

3 AN/TPQ-36 counter-artillery radars;

electronic jamming equipment;

spare parts.

According to the Pentagon, the United States has provided Ukraine with about $4.5 billion in security assistance during the presidency of U.S. President Joe Biden, including about $3.8 billion since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Biden also announced that he will sign a U.S. Lend-Lease Act for Ukraine on May 9 – the same day Russia celebrates Victory Day.
