In case of the use of nuclear weapons by Russia against Ukraine, NATO shouldn’t retaliate with the same type of weapons, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Zbigniew Rau, said in an interview with U.S. news channel NBC on Sept. 28.

The Polish minister noted that NATO's response with conventional weapons "should be devastating."

According to him, Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin is threatening to use tactical nuclear weapons on Ukrainian soil rather than attack NATO with these types of weapons, "which means that NATO should respond in a conventional way."

“And the response must be devastating,” the Polish Foreign Minister said.

“I think that NATO sends a clear signal to Russia on this matter."

On Sept. 21, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, after announcing mobilization in Russia, once again threatened Western countries with the use of nuclear weapons, saying that "this is not a bluff."

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that all Russian laws and doctrines, including nuclear ones, will also apply to the territories of Ukraine annexed through fake "referendums" if they are added in the Russian constitution.
