President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will pay an official visit to Poland on April 5, the Polish presidential office wrote on Twitter on April 3.
Zelenskyy will come at the invitation of Polish President Andrzej Duda, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz told Polish news outlet RMF 24. According to Zelenskyy’s itinerary, the Ukrainian president will first meet visitors at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. Przydacz noted that this meeting will be open to everyone, as Zelenskyy’s visit will be “public" – unlike his previous trips to London and Washington.
Zelenskyy held talks with his Polish counterpart, Andrzej Duda, last week. The Ukrainian president briefed Duda on the situation on the frontline and announced preparation for "important events”, though the nature of those events was not specified.
The last in-person meeting between Zelenskyy and Duda took place in the Polish town of Rzeszów on Feb. 10, when the Ukrainian president was returning from his trip to the U.K., France, and Belgium.
