The Office of the President of Ukraine is demanding the reaction from the international community to Russia’s mass murder of Ukrainian prisoners of war in a detention camp in Russian-occupied Olenivka, said the adviser to Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s chief-of-staff, Mykhailo Podolyak, in a Twitter post on July 29.

According to Podolyak, the strike on the building in which Ukrainian prisoners of war were kept was a cynical and well-thought-out false flag operation on the part of Russia in order to blame Ukraine.

“We know that the Russian Federation transferred part of the Ukrainian defenders to these barracks a few days before the strike and shelling from the Russian side was recorded,” Podolyak said.

“The purpose (of this crime is) to discredit Ukraine in front of our partners and disrupt weapons supplies.”

“This is a deliberate, cynical, calculated mass murder of Ukrainian prisoners, which requires (a full) investigation. We demand a reaction from the UN and international organizations."
