Internally displaced Ukrainians, currently living in makeshift camps at schools and universities, will not be evicted with nowhere to go to, Ukraine’s Education Minister Serhiy Shkarlet told Ukrainian TV broadcasters on July 21.
“There won’t be any evictions, where people are simply told to pack up and leave,” said Shkarlet.
“What will happen is people will be relocated to other suitable living spaces.”
The minister was adamant that “no one will simply throw people outside.”
Deputy PM Iryna Vereshchuk earlier said that those who are currently housed across summertime resorts will be provided accommodation at facilities, suitable for winter.
