Residential buildings damaged, 6 wounded in Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhya after Russian strikes

Residential buildings were damaged in the southern Ukrainian cities of Zaporizhzhya and Mykolaiv as a result of Russian missile strikes, Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevich and Deputy Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko reported on Dec. 31.
Several people were wounded in the city of Mykolaiv.
According to Senkevich, a fire broke out in one of the city's districts as a result of missile hits.
Meanwhile, Mykolaiv regional governor Vitalij Kim reported six injured: three people were hospitalized, and another three received medical aid on the spot. Reports about the casualties in Zaporizhzhya are being verified.
Russia launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine on Dec. 31. Air defenses were launched interceptor missiles around the country.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said that seven people were injured in the Solomyanskyi district, and one person was killed. Explosions also occurred in Holosiyivskyi and Pecherskyi districts.
A Japanese journalist was reported to have been wounded in the attack.
At least four civilians were wounded as a result of the missile attack on Khmelnytskyi Oblast in western Ukraine.
