Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov discussed military aid for Kyiv’s fight against the Russian invasion at a meeting in Kyiv with his Czech colleague Jana Cernochova, Reznikov said on Twitter on Oct. 31.
“Great meeting with my Czech colleague Jana Cernochova,” Reznikov tweeted.
“More than 50 projects to strengthen the Ukrainian army with the participation of the Czech Republic are on the agenda. We discussed the situation at the front, the supply of weapons and equipment, the possibility of expanding projects in the field of air defense.”
The day before, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala also visited Kyiv. His arrival coincided with massive Russian missile strikes all across Ukraine.
The Czech PM said support for Ukraine by its allies must continue.
After the latest massive Russian strikes on Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked the leaders of the G7 to provide Ukraine with medium and long-range air defense and anti-missile defense systems.
Ukraine has repeatedly asked foreign partners to help protect its skies from Russian air and missile attacks.
