Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko says it’s too early to come back to the city, Reuters news agency reports.

“The risk of dying is pretty high, and that’s my advice to anyone who wants to come back: please take a bit more time,” the agency reported, quoting Klitschko.

According to the mayor, fierce fighting is continuing to the north and the east of the capital.

Earlier, the Head of Kyiv City Military Administration, Mykola Zhyrnov, said that the Russian invaders were probably redeploying forces in the Donetsk direction. As of the evening of April 1, the enemy had pulled back about 20%of the units outside Kyiv, but a greater part still remains near the capital.
