Russia’s force projection in the Black Sea now including 14 warships, including four surface missile carriers equipped with 26 Kalibr cruise missiles, the Ukrainian military’s Operational Command South reported on Facebook late on Sept. 11.

Four large landing ships, in addition to the aforementioned fleet, have ramped up the Russian presence in those waters, OC South added, adding that the addition of the landing craft is a new development.

According to military forecasts, due to a storm over the Black Sea, "the enemy landing force, despite its quantitative presence, will be qualitatively unable to carry out absurd tasks,” — possibly a reference to rumors early in the full-scale invasion that Russia had wanted to conduct an amphibious assault of the port city of Odesa.
