Russian forces in Kharkiv region are focusing on defending their current positions, Ukraine’s General Staff said in a Facebook message on June 16.

Heavy Russian artillery fire, including using multiple-launch rocket systems, is being used to stall the advance of Ukrainian troops in the region – near Bazaliivka, Udy, and Verkhni Saltiv, Ukraine’s army command said.

To the south of Kharkiv, invading forces are regrouping in order to restore their offensive capacity.
