Mariupol mayor's adviser talks of situation at Azovstal plant

InvadingRussian forces are continuing to attack the positions of the Ukrainian troopsdefending Mariupol on the territory of the Azovstal steel mill, Petro Andryushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, said on May 5.
"If there is hell on Earth, it is at Azovstal…” Andryushchenko wrote in his Telegram channel.
“Incessant shelling and storming. Even at night with the adjustment of drone fire (pictured). With everything they have. In some places, fighting is already taking place inside the perimeter fences of the plant.
“Part of the Livoberezhnyi district from Veselka Park was closed to residents again, but this time they had to evacuate immediately without warning. The last 11 square kilometers of freedom in Mariupol have been turned into hell.”
The storming of Azovstal began on May 3. Russian troops pounded the steelworks with heavy artillery, and then threw tanks into the battle.
