The Russian military has launched an overnight attack on Kharkiv, using S-300 anti-air missiles reconfigured into ground-attack mode, Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Synehubov said in a Telegram post on March 30.
No casualties were reported thus far; the strike appears to have damaged a house and two cars in the city.
“As a result of rocket attacks in one of the districts of the city, a private residence and two civilian cars were damaged,” Synehubov wrote.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed six impacts in the city. According to Synehubov, the S-300 missiles were launched from Russia’s neighboring Belgorod region.
On the same night, several regions in northern Ukraine were targeted with kamikaze drone attacks.
