Russian drone strikes Zaporizhzhya train for second day, hurting train attendant

Russian forces attacked a passenger train with a drone in Zaporizhzhya Oblast on July 19, for the second straight day, injuring a train conductor, Ukrainian Railways reported.
The company’s monitoring group issued an evacuation order in advance, preventing any fatalities.
Passengers will be taken to Zaporizhzhya by bus, arranged with the operational assistance of the regional military administration, Ukrainian Railways said.
"The safety of passengers and railway employees remains a priority, so train traffic in the region will be under the maximum control of our monitoring groups," the company said in its statement.
Ukrainian Railways noted that bus and suburban electric train transfers to and from Zaporizhzhya are possible and asked passengers to watch for personalized alerts in the company's app.
On July 18, Russian forces carried out a double targeted strike on a train's locomotive and passenger cars in the Zaporizhzhya Oblast. All passengers and Ukrainian Railways employees were promptly evacuated, and there were no casualties. Ukrainian Railways later confirmed the train was damaged and said passengers had taken shelter and would be bused to Zaporizhzhya.
