"About five hits near the village of Esman,” he said.

"About 70 explosions in the direction of the village of Boiaro-Lezhachi. Six explosions were recorded near the village of Sopych.”

On May 16, Russian saboteurs tried to break through the state border in Sumy Oblast.

Russia had mostly withdrawn from Ukraine’s northern front following their loss in the Battle of Kyiv, but they have also faced stagnating progress in their attempts to win the Battle for Donbas.
