The village of Voznesenovka in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast near the Ukrainian border has apparently been shelled, reported regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on Telegram on April 9.

He claimed there were two hits, and that infrastructure was damaged.

"The village of Voznesenovka in Shebekinsky District came under fire. There are no victims in the attack. Two houses and utilities were damaged by shells. Also, a farm was damaged, namely a depot's walls and the roof. House-to-house rounds are ongoing," Gladkov said.

In the photos Gladkov posted on Telegram, it isn't clear if the damage was caused by shells.

Russian authorities, as usual, accused the Ukrainian army of "shelling."
