Russia concentrates forces for new wave of attacks on Ukraine’s major cities – Ukraine’s Defense Minister
The Russian occupiers are concentrating forces and means for a new wave of attacks on peaceful Ukrainian cities, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov announced.
“Due to the enormous losses suffered by the enemy, the intensity of hostilities has temporarily decreased. However, the Russian occupiers are trying to concentrate forces and means for a new wave of attacks. First of all, on Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Mykolayiv," he explained.
Reznikov stressed that Russian troops would face a fierce rebuff from the Ukrainian military.
“Our soldiers demonstrate high skill in all areas of defense, destroying the Russian invaders. The actions of our artillerymen in Mykolaiv Oblast will be mentioned in the textbooks. As well as the counterattacks of the Ukrainian defenders of Kharkiv and Luhansk Oblast,” the minister concluded.
At 5 am on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a "military operation" against Ukraine. Previously, the Russian government has repeatedly stated that it will not attack Ukraine, while for months it has been pulling troops and equipment to the Ukrainian borders.
