Head of Mykolaiv regional administration Vitaliy Kim said that Russian forces could launch an offensive towards Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhya in the summer, news agency Reuters reported on June 8.

“In the coming months, I think they might have some opportunities to attack Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv; but for now, we don’t see any regrouping, any big armies to attack,” said Kim.

The governor added that the conflict remains “slow-paced” near in the region.
