The Russian military has installed a Buk anti-aircraft missile system in the middle of a street in occupied Mariupol, as seen in a video posted by Mariupol mayoral advisor Petro Andryushchenko on Telegram on March 17.

“(Russians) park the Buk air defense systems right in the middle of civilian buildings. Why not? One residential building has already been burned to the ground,I guess they liked it,” he wrote.

“Then the version about balloons, cranes, planes – everything is according to plan.”

Russia has increased their air defenses in the city since three explosions were heard there on March 13.

Mariupol City Council reported that two strikes were recorded in the city on March 11, probably in locations of occupiers.

The Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk, previously stated that Mariupol is already within reach of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
