Russia dispatches more echelons with troops and equipment from Belarus to Ukraine

Russia has transferred two more echelons from Belarus to Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast, carrying military personnel and equipment, Belarusian Hajun monitoring group reported via Telegram on March 2.

According to the report, on Feb. 28 and March 1, two more echelons with military equipment and a trained contingents of the Russian Armed Forces were sent from the Slonim station (Grodno Oblast, Belarus) in the direction of Donetsk Oblast.

The first one left on Feb. 28 for the Matveyev-Kurgan station (Rostov Oblast), where it’s expected to arrive on March 7, and then it will be sent to the Ilovaisk station (Donetsk Oblast).

There were 48 cars in the train, including:

·       two passenger cars (around 100 of personnel of the Russian Armed Forces);

·       46 platform wagons (with wheeled military equipment).

Furthermore, the second echelon was dispatched on March 1 to the Neklinovka station (Rostov Oblast), where it is expected to arrive on March 8. From there, it is similarly expected to head to Ilovaisk.

There were 38 cars in the second train, including:

·       two passenger cars (around 100 of personnel of the Russian Armed Forces);

·       36 platform wagons (with amphibious wheeled military equipment).

According to Hajun, other equipment the echelon included the following items:

·       Bridging equipment – at least 12 units;

·       BMK-150 motor boats – at least three units;

·       A PTS-2 amphibious cargo vehicle.
