Moscow seeks to propagate its disregard for individuals and ethnicities across Ukraine and Europe, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a Telegram post on June 2.

“Everyone can see what Russia seeks to bring to Ukraine and other European countries: a total disregard of individuals and entire nations,” said Zelensky.

“The Russian state holds its own citizens in such contempt, it simply doesn’t comprehend the value of human life.”

He added that Russian troops are being sent to be slaughtered as if “they are not people, but dust beneath the feet of their Russian masters.”

“Our lives are based on completely different principles; wartime changes much, but these remain constant,” the president’s message reads.

“Every person matters; that’s the main difference between us and the invaders.”

Earlier, the Russian military has been accused of forcibly conscripting Ukrainian citizens in the occupied territories of the Donbas and Crimea, and sending them to the front lines with very little training or equipment, leading to massive losses.
