Invading Russian forces have shelled a humanitarian vehicle on the Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway, Luhansk regional governor, Serhiy Haidai, said in a Facebook post on May 10.
"Yesterday, the Russians deliberately fired on a humanitarian vehicle," he said.
"The truck, with only a driver inside, was already returning from Lysychansk after delivering food to residents. An enemy shell hit the truck on the Lysychansk-Bakhmut route."
Haidai added that the driver survived. He said that the road remains dangerous.
The governor also clarified that the invaders were trying to seize the town of Rubizhne and were preparing an offensive on the town of Sievierodonetsk.
On May 9, Haidai said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had taken up positions in a village between Sievierodonetsk and Rubizhne. The Ukrainian military is controlling the road to the administrative center of Luhansk Oblast.
