Russia launched another missile attack on the city of Kharkiv early on Oct. 31, hitting a critical infrastructure facility, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov has reported on the Telegram messenger.

“The situation in Kharkiv is quite tense after morning strikes,” he said.

“The attack was launched on a critical infrastructure facility, resulting in Kharkiv Metro and over ground electric transport being stopped.”

According to Terekhov, the Kholodnohirsko-Zavodska metro line has resumed operation, while trolleybuses and trams have been replaced by buses.

He added the city is facing problems with water supplies, but energy and utility workers are doing their best to restore water supply to Kharkiv residents as soon as possible.

“All services are working to restore the normal life support of Kharkiv,” the mayor said.

Russia launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine early on Oct. 31.

Several explosions rocked the capital Kyiv at about 8.00 a.m. Kyiv authorities say the explosions were the sounds of the interception of incoming Russian cruise missiles, and that no missiles hit the city itself.

Missile attacks were also reported in the cities of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya, as well as towns in Cherkasy, Kyiv, and Kirovohrad oblasts.

In many areas, Ukrainian air defense forces were heard shooting down Russian missiles.
