Russia hits Zaporizhzhia with 12 missiles

Russia has attacked Zaporizhzhia with 12 S-300 surface-to-air missiles, killing at least one civilian, regional governor Oleksandr Starukh said in a Telegram post on Oct. 11.
According to the governor, two of the missiles hit a car dealership, killing one person. Firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out in the building. Other missiles hit a school and a clinic.
Russia has increased strikes on civilian infrastructure of the regional center over the past week, including on Oct. 10. As a result, a multi-story apartment block in the center of the city was partially destroyed.
Russian forces attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia with 13 aircraft and the S-300 missile systems overnight on Oct. 9. The city infrastructure and residential buildings were targeted. It was reported that 13 people, including a child, were killed and 89 others, including 11 children, sustained injuries.
