Russian attacks across Donetsk Oblast killed five civilians and injured 14 in the last 24 hours, regional governor Pavlo Kyrylenko said in a Telegram post on Aug. 6.

“Russians killed five civilians in Donetsk Oblast on Aug. 5: two in Opytne, one in Avdiivka, one in Soledar, and another in Pervomaiske; 14 more people were wounded,” said Kyrylenko.

Kyrylenko noted it’s currently impossible to estimate the scale of civilian casualties in ruined and occupied Mariupol and Volnovakha. Prior estimates have placed the number of dead in occupied Mariupol alone at least 25,000
