Russia kills one, injures more in attack on civilians in Kramatorsk

Russia’s invading troops killed one civilian and injured at least three more after launching a rocket attack on the center of Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast on March 14,the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office reported on Telegram on March 14.

The invaders shelled the city at around 8.30 a.m., targeting a residential building, Kramatorsk Executive Committee spokesperson Ihor Yeskov told Ukraine’s Suspilne TV.

Six high-rise buildings were damaged in the attack, said Donetsk Oblast Military Administration head Pavlo Kyrylenko.

Four civilians were pulled out injured from under the rubble, with one dying later in hospital. Law enforcement and rescue crews continue to work at the scene of the attack.

“The evil state (of Russia) continues to fight with the civilian population. Destroying life and leaving nothing human,” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Every blow that takes an innocent life must result in a lawful and just sentence of murder. This will definitely be so.”

Criminal proceedings have been initiated on the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
