Six Russian missiles struck the Kremenchuk refinery and another two hit the thermal power plant in the town of Kremenchuk early on June 18, Poltava Regional Governor Dmytro Lunin said in a Telegram messenger post.

He said there were no casualties as a result of the attack.

This is not the first time the enemy has attacked these facilities. Since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, the Kremenchuk refinery and the thermal power plant have been the targets of the biggest attacks and suffered the destruction among the entire infrastructure of Poltava Oblast.

The Kremenchuk refinery has not resumed operations after previous strikes.

Rescue teams are working at the scene, Lunin said.

Earlier it was reported that infrastructure facilities had been damaged as a result of Russian missile strikes on Kremenchuk.
