Invading Russian forces have launched a missile strike on the town of Lozova in the south of Kharkiv Oblast, the town's mayor, Serhiy Zelensky, said in a Telegram messenger post on June 6.

"Last night the enemy hit us with missiles again. Thank God, there were no casualties," he said.

"According to the results of preliminary reviews, five educational institutions, several residential buildings, and critical infrastructure facilities have been damaged."

Zelensky said that three schools, two kindergartens, as well as a dormitory where displaced people were living had been damaged as a result of the attack.

The last time Russia attacked Lozova was on May 20. The local palace of culture was damaged, as well as 10 neighboring multi-story buildings.

Seven people were injured, including an 11-year-old girl.
